Climate change today is probably the subject creating one of the
major interests among the government officials, think-tank
organisations, academia, industry and civil society around the
world. And as the debates about climate change - adaptation and
mitigation - heats up, major investments are taking place in
green technologies and in building environmental friendly
infrastructure.
There is a need to closely examine the ongoing notable shift
from high to low carbon and more sustainable economies. For this
purpose – the Green Economy Observatory (GEO) has jointly been
established by the Association for International and Comparative
Studies in Labour Law and Industrial Relations at Marco Biagi
Centre for International and Comparative Studies, University of
Modena e Reggio Emilia, Italy and Etech in Karlsruhe,
Germany.
